Teladoc® Health lets you connect with trusted health care providers by phone, video or chat — at home, on your lunch break or while on the go. Options are available for general medicine, mental health and dermatology (skin) concerns. You can even get a prescription sent to your local pharmacy if your doctor decides you need one.

This service is available to NAF employees living in the continental U.S. and pre-65 retirees enrolled in a DoD NAF medical plan. It is not available for employees living overseas.

Teladoc Health — General medicine, 24/7 care

Teladoc Health offers 24/7 virtual care for general medical issues such as:

  • Allergies
  • Bronchitis
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Sinus and ear infections
  • Urinary tract infections and more

Teladoc Health can save you time and money, too. You’ll likely get an appointment in minutes, and it will cost much less than going to the emergency room. Your copay could be as low as $0. Read Know where to go for care to learn more about choosing the right provider at the right time.

Teladoc Health — Mental health, 7 days a week

Schedule a confidential video chat with care providers such as board-certified psychiatrists, licensed psychologists, therapists or counselors. Use the web portal or app to book appointments between 7 AM and 9 PM, 7 days a week.

Teladoc Health — Dermatology help by text

Just upload a few photos of your skin condition, and a licensed dermatologist will respond within two days with advice and your next steps.

Use Teladoc Health to consult with a dermatologist about skin issues, such as:

  • Psoriasis
  • Eczema
  • Skin infections
  • Suspicious moles and more

The amounts listed for the Aetna® High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) indicate the cost of one visit before and after you meet your deductible.

Register now, before you need care

Filling out forms is no fun when you’re not feeling well. Register ahead of time so you’ll be ready when you need Teladoc Health most.

You have three ways to register:

  1. Online
    • Go to TeladocHealth.com/aetna and select “Register now.”
    • Fill out the form. Enter your information exactly as it appears on your ID card. For example, if your name is listed as James, you can’t enter “Jim” here.
    • At the bottom of the form, do not select the box that says “I received a Teladoc Health code from my employer or insurance company” (unless you have a code). Choose “Next.”
    • Under “Who is your Employer or Insurance Provider?” enter “Department.”
    • Click on your NAF, then click “Continue.”
    • If the data you entered matches, it will request that you enter your account information. Complete the required information and select “Set Up My Account.”
